The Season of the Son: It’s Your Time! (Part 5)

The Season of the Son: It’s Your Time! (Part 5)
15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning. 16 So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night. 17 And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.– Numbers 9: 15-17

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. – Romans 8:14
Sons of God put away childish things. “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish thing.” (1 Corinthians 13:11). Sons of God put on the new man, “…put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:” (Colossians 3:10). Sons of God put on the nature of God. Sons of God are not conformed to this world. They do not fall in with the external and fleeting fashions of this age. Rather, Sons of God are transformed by an inward, supernatural renovation process which makes them different from the past. Sons of God study the Word of God. “For Ezra had devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the LORD, and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel.” (Ezra 7:10). They “studyto shew themselves approved unto God,…” (2 Timothy 2:15). They take on Jesus’ yoke. “Take my yoke upon you and learn of me... for my yoke is easy and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:29, 30). Sons of God pray. They don’t give up, cave-in or quit. “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” (Luke 18:1). Sons of God don’t forsake the fellowship with other believers. They attend church on a regular basis. “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:25). Sons of God are obedient to the Word of God, the Spirit of God and their Pastor. They know that, "… to obey is better than sacrifice" (1 Samuel 15:22). Sons of God are not ashamed of the Gospel. They are not afraid to tell others of the goodness of God. "Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of Man be ashamed"(Mark 8:38).
My friend all of creation is waiting for you. “For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God's sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship].” (Romans 8:19). My friend, others are waiting for you – the male and female Sons of God, to step up and stop the storms in their lives.

Send this message to a Friend, and go take charge of the weekend!

Be Blessed,
Pastor Carl Edward Yates
